PROFESSIONAL GROWTH/LEARNING/DEVELOPMENT (PRO-D)

The WWEST Teacher Mentor Team is delighted to work with teachers as they continue their personal learning journey in STEM.  Through individual, small group, full staff, or coference workshops, our team provides experiential learning opportunities, for educators to enjoy, that can be transferred into their classrooms “on Monday”.

With over 25 years of experience in K-12 classrooms, and in District Leader and Administration roles, the WWEST Teacher Mentors are eager to share a plethora of BC Curriculum linked STEM activities with educators.  As WWEST strives to provide equitable and accessible learning opportunities, the materials used are minimal to no-cost (with a few exceptions to technology), making the lessons easy to re-create in classrooms. The lessons shared are easily adapted to align with curriculum outcomes across all grade levels and subject areas.

We are happy to work with eductors to create Pro-D opportunites that will enhance confidence and re-ignite passion for teaching STEM! As schedules need to align, and we will also be out in community much of the year, please contact us at wwest.ok@ubc.ca to request more information.
