RETAIN Women in STEM Related Careers
It is the goal of WWEST to instill a desire in people who identify as female, to participate and continue a journey in STEM activities and fields. Providing opportunities that are welcoming, supportive, safe and fun are key to retaining interest in STEM related careers.
Intergenerational STEM workshops and camps provide caregivers and grandparents the opportunity to learn more about STEM, alongside youth. Attendance at these events, allows a peek into the post-secondary student experience, as well as the opportunity to participate in hands-on STEM learning activities.
